Bay Laurel Tree Laurus nobilis

This elegant tree of Mediterranean origin is believed to have been introduced to Britain in the early 16th century. It was well known to both the ancient Greeks and Romans who adopted the Bay Laurel as a symbol of victory and honour and it is still used in the modern day Olympic Games.

The Bay tree has a simple understated beauty that makes it particularly suitable as a tree to compliment and transform any location whether inside or outside. It retains this beauty throughout the year and can be trimmed into wonderful sculptural shapes.

Arbor Verde offer a range of Bay trees up to 40 years old hand cut in 5 classic shapes – standards (ball on a stem), balls, cones, columns and hedges. Plants are available in a range of sizes and are supplied in attractive matching ornamental pots.
